Virginia Pharmacy Technician Training Manual - Updates
If you have the first printing of the third edition of The Virginia Pharmacy Technician Training Program, please make the following updates to your copy. If your copy is identified on the cover and title page as the “Second Printing” of the 3rd Edition, these changes have already been made.
1) Chapter IX, Page 8. The information describing Virginia requirements for expiration dating of repackaged medications has changed. The expiration date for repackaged doses of solid medications in unit-dose packaging is now the lesser of the manufacturer’s expiration date or one year.
2) Chapter IX, Page 10, Self- Assessment Question 2. Because of the change described above, response “a” is now the correct answer.
In addition to these changes, the list of the Top 200 Medications has also been updated. The updated list is available on this website on our homepage.
